We first met Laurie in 2004, as he was just finishing up a “Spec Home’ that he had sold to another family in our neighborhood. Right away we knew Mr. Norton had a creative side that most builders in the area did not possess. We followed his other projects over the years and when it finally came time to build our dream home we knew we wanted it to be built by Laurie Norton Construction.
Laurie saw our lot, plans and budget then helped guide us through the difficult process of discarding our original plan, we had been working on for nearly a decade, and completely start over. The great thing is Laurie found another architect, worked with her, as well as our budget to help create a home that was better than the original iteration, the same size, 20% cheaper and within our specified budget.

We contacted Laurie Norton after finding that our original house plans would not fit our budget for our retirement home. Laurie had done some work for us on the house we had recently put on the market and we were very pleased with his work as well as how congenial he was.
Laurie felt he could build our home from the ground up with the budget constraints we had. We worked with Laurie and an architect on new plans and although it was smaller it was within our budget.
We have been living in our new home for 6 months and have been very pleased with many of the special features Laurie incorporated into the house. Use of space is incredible. Material use was very economical. After finishing the ceiling with cedar he had considerable material left over and incorporated that into the closets. Beautiful wood work done by Laurie in closets, ceilings, window trims.
Laurie was always willing to go the extra mile (literally) to discuss step by step what needed to happen to make the building process flow. This happened even with the constraints of him living 4 hours from the site of the build. Laurie lived on site during the progress of construction.
Again we have to say that Laurie was extremely helpful and patient to two first-time home builders.
